The world’s 400 richest people lost a combined estimated $70 billion yesterday, as the world stock market climate was in a downward trend.


London Heathrow terminal 1

The last flight to take off from Terminal 1 at London Heathrow Airport, BA970, departed earlier today, headed for Hanover, Germany. After 47 years of operation, LHR Terminal 1 will eventually be demolished to make room for an expansion of Terminal 2 and wider runways to accommodate the Airbus A380s. It is a bit strange to have four terminals remaining named 2-5, so perhaps a renaming/renumbering is in order.

Same-sex marriage

Today, after a long battle between liberals and conservatives, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled by a 5-4 vote to allow same-sex marriage as a constitutional right.


It does not bode well for a patient when your patient has 3 operations within 36 hours of each other, two of which are for the same cause: a hematoma.

Michelin star

While restaurant Michelin ratings are highly respected–and certainly well-deserved–some 1-star restaurants can out-do higher-end ones. Not shockingly, a meal at a 3-star restaurant can cost upwards of $400 per person.
